How to turn a nikon d3100's settings into default?

How to clean the electronic bit on a DSLR?
Sorry don't know what its called but I've just noticed that on all my photo's I have two very slightly dark spots… Like a dried water spot… It happen's with all the lens's, so it must be IN the camera. I only notice it when I shoot clouds or other light backgrounds.
My camera is a Nikon D50

Cost to repair my camera lens?
I have a Nikon d60 with the stock 15-55mm kit lens. A few weeks ago my brother borrowed the camera and his friend spilled chocolate milk on my lens. Now the lens will not zoom. The manual focus works but due to the inability of the lens to focus the autofocus is not operational. How much would I be in the hole for in this case?

Can't see image files on SD card after ejected from Nikon D3000?
Hardware:
SanDisk Ultra 15MB/s 8GB SDhc
Nikon D3000
MacBook Pro 15" Late 2011
Issue:
Insert SD card into Nikon.
Took about 500 pics.
Powered down, ejected SD card.
Inserted SD card into MBP. Opened Finder window, navigated to SD card. Open DCIM.
Nothing.
Get Info > Zero Bytes in DCIM folder.
Properly ejected SD from MBP.
Inserted SD card back into Nikon.
Image files showed up and can be browsed.
Can't figure out why I can't see the images on MBP. Anyone have this issue? I don't think I've ever formated the SD card before. Besides, just last week I didn't have this problem. I was able to use Lightroom and/or Aperture.
Should I try navigating the directory via Terminal?

What should the Black Friday Price of a $600 camera be?
The Nikon d5100. Also, if you can, what about the Nikon d7000 on black friday? Canon t3i? These are the three I'm looking at, but I mainly need the d5100 price on black friday. If you know the best stores for camera sales then too, that would be helpful! And do lenses go on sale? If so, how much? Please just answer what you can.

How to decide which camera to buy
I want to have the option to compare the two cameras I'm looking at (Nikon d5100 and Canon t3i) side by side. What is a good place to do this? I went to Target, but they where weirdly tethered and sd cards were not in there so i could not take pictures for examples. Should I look at renting each for a day, or is there a store that will let me use each normally to compare?

Buying DSLR, canon loyalty program, eBay?
Is it safe to purchase a DSLR camera from eBay? Or are most defective, have cheap parts, or missing parts, etc? Where would be an alternative (besides craigslist) to get a T4i or Nikon d5100 for the best price?
I still haven't decided between the two, but those are my top choices, I still have to go in store to see how they feel in my hands, but at my local best buy they are very expensive. I know DSLRs are expensive, but there's a price variation between stores, like with almost any product.
How does the Canon loyalty program work? I've read about it, but I don't quite understand, can I just purchase any old/used canon even if it doesn't work, and use the loyalty program to get a discount on a t4i or t3i? For instance, if I send them a Canon EOS rebel Ti for how much could I get a t4i in the trade? And do I have to give the camera with a lens or can it be body only? And would I get a better deal if the lens is included?
Thank you
Added (1). Am I supposed to have proof of purchased from the old canon camera?

Did your Nikon D5100 come with a neck strap?
Going to be buying myself one for Christmas. I looked at the specifications & don't see it listed so was just wanting to confirm…
did yours come with a neck strap?

I'm trying to figure everything out for my Nikon. The manual is a bit confusing so I was wondering if there was any great how to do certain things on my Nikon!

300 dpi is considered as good to taking prints, however when i take pics i see that the dpi is generally below 300, mostly around 240. How do i increase that. Is there anything to be done in the camera settings (Nikon D7000) or do i do it while post processing?
