Canon t4i, Nikon d3200, or Nikon d2100?

Why won't my nikon d3100 take pictures on auto mode?
I've tried to change the settings and for some reason it will only take pictures on manual mode. Some people have told me it's locked on manual but I don't really know what that means or how to fix it. Can anyone help? I'm new to this camera, I've got it yesterday.

I have the Nikon D3000. My mom accidentally dropped the camera and now one of the flat small bars on the bottom that holds the lens to the camera broke and only half of it is left on. Is there any quick fix i can use? I'm going away in a day and I'll need to use the camera. Any advice? I'd like to avoid taking it to a repair shop.

I deleted a photo on my digital camera how can i recover it?

Is it gone forever?

Nice DSLR cameras for beginners?
I'm getting a DSLR tomorrow, and I have $1000 to spend. I wanted a Nikon D90 at first, but refrained from saving up to $1300. What are some nice cameras under my budget? I don't have many specific qualities I'd like, just a camera that takes nice pictures. Thanks!
Side note: I'm just going to get a camera with a kit lens. Nothing special!

What are some techniques I could use to take Jacob Riis-style photos?
I'm having trouble with a photography project. The equipment I have available is a Nikon d60 with a DX Nikkor 18-55mm lens, an AF Nikkor 70-300mm lens, a tripod, and a grey card.

I'm flip flopping between the sony nex 5n and the nikon d5100. I will take many photos, but also a lot of video as well. So which one has a better video mode?
P.S. Don't tell me to just get a camcorder, I hear it all the time and I prefer the look of dslr video better.

Does this camera come with the lens?
I'm very interested in the Nikon D3200. I don't know if it is great though. I have a 850 dollar budget that could be stretched a tiny bit. I wan't the same type of camera as the D3200, but is it the best one from Nikon under my price range? Also, does the price also include the lens shown on the picture? If so, how much zoom does that lens have?
This is the link to the D3200 to compare.

I love Nikon, and do not want to move to any other brand. Canon has disappointed me many times.

Looking to upgrade my camera, any ideas?
I'm looking to upgrade my nikon D40x that i bought back in 2009. I would like to go pro, rather than entry-level, but of course i have a budget of $700 so i don't think that would be possible (however, i'm open to buying used/refurbished).
The only problem i'm having right now is that i would want it to autofocus on my nikkor 50mm f/1.8D lens, and a lot of the ones i've been looking at aren't compatible. However, that's not deal breaker or anything, i could always get a new 50mm lens. I have my eye on the D3200, the only thing is the sensor is a bit smaller than my current nikon. What do you guys think?

I have a nikon d3100 and i'm looking for new lenses and filters?
I guess i'm looking for something like fisheye lenses and anything fun.l have the star filters and i love them, so fun! So i'm looknig for things like that. I also would like a lens that would be ideal for self portraits. Or maybe flash pieces.
anyone have any suggestions on how i can enhance my nikon d3100?
