Sun photography.what to use to protect the camera?
So i came by a nikon d70 and a 1600mm scope lens for it. I wanna use it to photograph the sun but how do i do it without damaging the sensor and everything else?
i'm a bit confused in my research.i've read using neutral density filter of at least 10 is enough to protect my camera. But i've also read and doesn't protect at all and need the special the special solar filter like mylar. I checked prices on them and the solar ones cost a lot more.
so if you have done either one of these techniques, i wanna know which one does not damage your camera. I don't care for what you think or read about it, i wanna know what you -did-. If you have photographed the sun before i like to see your samples if that's not too much to ask
