My Camera Lens is stuck! - 1

I'm using a Nikon D3100 with the Nikkor 50mm 1.8d lens, and the lens won't come off the body!

I don't know if I just got a faulty lens, or if I'm doing something wrong, but I'm removing it in the same way that I've done with all of my other lenses: pressing down the release button and twisting in the direction that brings the two white dots together. I've been trying to get it off for days, and I've been very careful not to pull or grip it too hard.
It just won't let go! What do I do?

,

Added (1). Sky, I'm trying to avoid the cost of repairs by coming here and asking.

Camera advice please? - 1

Alright, I'm looking for a camera, mainly for photography purposes. Video-taping would be nice but it's not a priority. So far I like the brands Nikon and Canon, though my friend [who is a camera nerd, has currently 2 and her dad has one worth around 1-2k]. She suggests I get a Nikon.

I saw this one and liked it.

But I was just wondering what qualities and details I should be looking for and for what price is reasonable with said accessories.

Any advice on a lens for Nikon D3100 18-55 VR Kit?

I'm looking to take photos of landscapes throughout Europe. This is for fun. I'm completely new at this. I'm thinking of getting a full-frame fisheye lens. However, I need some advice on picking one thats good and can be used with my camera. Any advice? Links to the lens are appreciated.

What should I charge for a photo shoot?

I'm not a professional, but I recently took portraits for my family (aunt, uncle, and cousins) and I really enjoyed it AND the pictures came out well. My parents suggested I offer to do so for friends and other relatives, but we have no idea how much to charge. I use a Nikon D5100 and am very passionate about photography.

Why won't my Nikon D5000 take pictures?

A few weeks ago, my camera started to seize up occasionally -- it would focus and expose, but no picture was written to my SD card. This lasted for a few minutes, during which time I would turn the camera off, remove the battery, the lens, the SD card, and do any other random thing I could think of to fix it, but the camera always seemed to right itself. Yesterday though, the camera just stopped taking pictures entirely. It functions normally in everything except that the LCD screen won't show me what's visible through the viewfinder, though it still works to review pictures I've already taken and display camera settings. I've tried resetting the camera and replacing the SD card, but it still doesn't work. I have a photo assignment due for school which I've got to start work on, and I'd be crazy grateful to anyone who could give me any advice or input on what the heck is going on with my poor little camera.

Is Nikon's 50mm my best option?

I'm looking at getting a 50mm for Christmas. I want to start doing more portraits, but I'm still finding "myself" within Photography. I have a D5100. I need a "cheaper" lens too.
Like I said, I want one that's going to work well in low light (like concerts), and portraits, but also just in general.

Nikon D3100, Should I purchase a 50mm or 35mm f/1.8G AF-S lens?

I have had my Nikon D3100 with the original kit lens 18-55mm for about a year and want to purchase another lens. I feel my pictures lack quality sometimes so maybe you could also offer me some advise on how to shoot better photos with that lens on my d3100. However, I mostly am just completely tied on whether to go with the 50mm or the 35mm lens. I do love the bokeh effect the 50mm would offer but I think the 35mm might give me more range than just portraiture. Please give me some help!
I'm really interested in being able to shoot some wedding photography, so if that would determine which one I should get let me know!
