D3000 SD card says its full but i deleted all photos
I have a nikon D3000 and i took out my SD card and inserted it into my Mac. After i saved all the photos to my Mac i deleted them. When i put the SD card back into my camera it said CARD IS FULL. When i tried to go back to view the photos on my camera it says FOLDER CONTAINS NO IMAGINES. So what's going on? How can i fix it? Can i even fix it?
Maybe reformat the card with the camera. Suggestion, memory cards are so cheap now I have decided to not erase cards anymore. I save the card as an archive and buy new cards.
I use a Mac and this a characteristic of how Mac's deal with plug in memory devices that also includes USB drives and MP3 players.
Macs keep deleted contents, in this case your photos, in a trash can on the memory card. This takes up space and needs to be emptied.
You can open the SD card in Finder and under the Finder menu option there's an empty trash option, or you can format the card in your camera which deletes everything on the card.
