Need some help comparing Nikon wide angle lenses for a DX shooter?
So I'm a bit of a photography newbie, but I'd love some help in understanding the differences in these 2 Lenses.
The Camera I'm using is Nikon D5000 and my favorite thing to shoot by far is landscapes.
AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor
12-24mm f/4G IF-ED
I've heard some pretty great things about this lens, but I'm not exactly wanting to spend tons of money on a lens.
AF-S DX NIKKOR
10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED
This is the other lens I've considered because of the lower price and fairly comparable specs, But I'd love some input on how different they actually are.
Thanks all.
Added (1). Also, I'm wondering how safe it is to buy used lenses from the Nikon website.

How do they edit or take such amazing photos? I have a Nikon d40… Would I able to take similar photos with the right lens/editing software? Photoshop? Is it difficult to learn to take such photos?

How to take or edit quality photos such as these?
I follow some people on instagram who post the most amazing photos I've ever seen of their dogs.
For example:

HOW on earth do they edit or take them? Is it the lens? I have a 5ish year old Nikon d40. Is there anyway I can take such quality pictures?

Advise me on the best Nikon DSLR?
Could you advise me on the best Nikon DSLR? - 1
Added (1). I'm a senior student at the art academy and work a lot with photography and video, it is time for me to get my own. I've had the D5100 on my list for years, but now I'm getting into it, I read alot about D7100. At this time, all the choices are overwhelming.
I need a good quality, advanced/professional handling DSLR that can shoot HD video and has good price/quality, cause I'm still a student. My budget is 1000,-. (maybe I can push it to 1200,- max.
What would you advise me?

I just bought this mic (from a friend) to record better audio with my DSLR but it's not working…
on both of my cameras (Nikon D5100 and #3200)
*it is compatible with both of them
*it doesn't record ANY sound only produces hissing sound
*i've already checked my settings and played around with them but nothing changed.
*the guy i bought it from told me it's unused (i can see that from the packaging too)
Any ideas? :/

How big is the Nikon D3200 compared to the Canon EOS 600D?
I'm wondering what camera should I buy, I decided to buy the Nikon D3200, But the problem is, It's really small and I have huge hands, Really huge, Will this be a problem?

Does the Nikon D3200 have multiple display themes?
I have a question about the Nikon D3200,
Does the Nikon have display themes like what canon has? Cause there's no sensor that shuts the LCD display down while using the viewfinder. And I hate having light hitting my eyes. I wanna see if there's a dark theme that helps me. It's really annoying to shut down the display each time I wanna take a photo.

How to make eyes pop in outdoor photography?
I have a Nikon D3100 and I just taking pictures for family so I'm a beginner. I have a sister who has extremely light blue eyes, and she is light sensitive. She wants outdoor pictures during the day, and when I have done pictures for her in the past, the pictures result with her eyes as dark slits and you can't even see the beautiful color of her eyes. When i have used flash in the past it just gives them red eye or makes their skin look pasty and it darkens out the background. With it being a very sunny day, how do I get great detailed pictures with clarity in the eyes?

So I will be going on vacation in a month and I'm planning on vlogging with a go pro hero 4 silver but I don't get the go pro til a week after the vacation so I was wondering if Nikon d3100 (which I already have) would be a suitable camera to use for vlogging? It's seems pretty big and obnoxious as a vlog camera imo so i don't know
