Does the Nikon D3200 have multiple display themes?
I have a question about the Nikon D3200,
Does the Nikon have display themes like what canon has? Cause there's no sensor that shuts the LCD display down while using the viewfinder. And I hate having light hitting my eyes. I wanna see if there's a dark theme that helps me. It's really annoying to shut down the display each time I wanna take a photo.
AFAIK, most new dSLRs have an option to turn off the LCD completely. You can always check settings through the viewfinder. Then again, AFAIK, new dSLRs have color schemes but I never was bothered with the LCD firmly pressed against my nose and cheek when peeping through the viewfinder.
If you are using the camera in the way that bests supports it and the lens as seen on page 22 of your user manual, "display themes" are NOT necessary and really more of a gimmick.
I'm sure you have seen the pros shooting pro sports and they have the camera against their eye and are holding the camera with both hands. Some even augment the camera steadying process by using a monopod, especially if the lens weighs more than 5 pounds
If you set the camera to keep the LCD off until you press the display button, you can get rid of the annoyance and save battery power at the same time. Just turn off the "auto display" mode in your cameras menu
NOTE: If you have the cameras LCD display on, when you depress the shutter release, it will turn off
