How to turn off the grid on the Nikon D3100?
I turned off my camera then i turned it back on and there was a grid there. Anyone know how to get if off?
Why is my Nikon D3100 videos on IMoive lagging?
When I imported my clips to iMovie, it has a little "24" at the bottom and that clip from that camera video is very laggy. It only happens with the video from my Nikon.

What is wrong with my camera? Am i doing something wrong?
I just got a fotodiox macro extension tube kit from amazon. I attached it fine (i saw a youtube video on how to attach the same exact kind that i bought) so that was okay. But when i turn my camera on it says LENS NOT ATTACHED. I know the extension tube is supposed to go on first, then the lens. But i just wanted to know if i did anything wrong.could anyone explain?

Connecting nikon d5100 to laptop?
Am planning to take short film using my d5100. I need the live view of the cam to display on my laptop while am shooting… Is der any software for that? Which is the best software? How can i connect it with my usb cable or HDMI cable? I knw it can be connect'd to HDMI TV.buti want to get that live view in my laptop… Please help
Buying my first dslr. Throw your knowledge at me
Initially I was torn between the Canon eos 1100d and nikon D3100.
1100D with kitlens 18-55mm £ 265 12.2mp
D3100 same kitlens for £300 14.2mp
Now i've seen Canon Eos 550D for £450 with kitlens of 18-55mm & a 75-300mm. This has 18mp better video quality too.
I know the first 2 are good for starters, but i'm more drawn to the 550d for the cheap price for the mp count and 75-300mm lense inclusion.
What are your views on any of these cameras
