What are the best lens for a nikon d90?
I dunno how to use this camera outside automatic. I know that is sad. But I have a book i'm going through.
I was curious about lens. Mine is a nikon dx 18-55mm.
I want a lens that is perfect for headshot photography. Think of actors headshots.
Landscapes
micro such as bugs. I have a ring light so light is not a problem.
and super far away stuff.
now this lens is 18-55 what does it mean if the range is very large or very small?
i don't have much i rather get the best at the lowest price possible. I already know it's expensive.

I have a Nikon D5100, and I've been saving up for a 50mm f/1.8 for a while now, and financial situations aren't fabulous at the moment, and it'll take me much longer than it's worth to save up for the 50mm f/1.8G that has the ability to autofocus on my entry level DSLR. I can currently afford the 50mm f/1.8D, but it can't autofocus on my camera, and the material is a little cheaper. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy it, but not without some opinions.
Are there any major disadvantages to buying this lens that overpower however many years it would take to save up for the 1.8G? Is this lens a good choice, and is having only manual focus a huge deal?

I've had my Nikon for about 2 years and all of a sudden every time i try to take a picture with the flash on, the flash pops up but makes a clicking noise every time i try to take picture and the flash won't go off. Is there any non- dangerous way i can fix it myself without having to go to a camera place

Okay so I'm a photogapher, and I have a Nikon D3000 camera and it has a flash card of 16 GB. I put in the card into the MacBook Pro but then it says all my photos are locked? What do I do to fix this problem? What good does it do if my photos are "locked"?

How to achieve vintage style SLR pictures on a modern DSLR?
As title implies, I have a Nikon D3200 and wish to take pictures with that vintage 80's look to them that was seen in the early Canon AE-1 or A-1 SLR cameras. I would like to know if there's an option in the settings of my DSLR I can tweak to achieve this or is Photoshop my only option? And if so what exactly do I need to do in Photoshop to make my pictures look old and vintage?
Reasons: I really love the look of the vintage 80's SLR cameras produced. I would like to replicate these settings to give my pictures a warmer nostalgic look.

My lens won't autofocus anymore?
I have a 50mm 1.8G on my Nikon D7000, it used tl AF without issues and now all of a sudden it stopped, I slightly press the button and it doesn't do anything… Manual focus works right whatsoever.

Which camera lens would be best for me?
I'm receiving a second camera lens as a gift from a family member and I don't know which one to choose. I have a Nikon D3100 and the standard 18-55mm lens at the moment. I would prefer a zoom lens, but then the other thing to consider is I'm taking a trip to China with my school in about 6 months and I don't know what lens I would take. I couldn't spend all my time swapping between lenses, but a 18-105mm or a 16-85mm lens is unfortunately out of my price range. Since its a gift from someone I don't know too well I don't want them to have to spend outrageous amounts. The one I was originally thinking of is the 55-200mm lens, but then there's the whole changing lens thing.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what lens to go for? It needs to be $250AUD or less preferably, a tiny bit over could be fine. Are there any screw on zoom attachments to my original lens that could do the job?

My Nikon D70 won't take a photo?
When I take a normal picture of something it will take the photo. But if I take a picture of a table or something down it will just adjust the focus and won't take the photo. I know sometimes this happens when you are zoomed it, but I'm not. What do I do?
