Which camera should I go with?
I'm not really a beginner at photography, I've worked as a photographer(in studios) for 10 years on and off. But I'm in the market to buy my 1st dslr. I've always worked with Nikon cameras and even my point and shoot is nikon. However i recently used a friend's Canon and I loved it. The two I'm torn over are the rebel t3i and the nikon d3200 (leaning towards this one). Or if someone has another suggestion for a good entry level dslr. As long as its price comparable to the other 2.
How to manually focus with a Nikon D90 whilst filming?
So whenever I film with my Nikon D90 I find that if people come closer than what they started at they become out of focus. I assume the only way to refocus is manual so can someone talk through how this is done?
Nikon d5000 won't show picture for photographing after using it for video?
Its been fine for video but its just info etc thats on the screen and won't show me what i'm trying to shoot for a photo.
Should I take my camera on our trip to the beach?
I'm going on a graduation trip with my best friend next week. We're going to California for some shopping (mostly window shopping lol) but we're most excited about the beach. Anyway!
I love photography and I have a pretty nice camera (Nikon D5100). I don't want to take it and have it get ruined or stolen on the trip but I can't help but think of all the missed opportunities of pictures I could take when I'm there. There are a lot of factors.
What do you think? Have you taken a nice camera on a trip and what was your experience? Any suggestions for ways I could keep it safe?
How to set auto focus for video mode on a nikon d3100 camera?
I just got a nikon d3100 and i can't seem to get the auto focus to work. Its a used camera and it takes great pics and auto focuses for pics but not for video and i can't figure out why. Anyone know the settings for auto focus video mode?
Difference between 50mm DX and FX?
So I have a Nikon D3100 camera (DX) and I'm thinking of getting a 50mm prime as my first lens (other than the kit lens) however Nikon doesn't sell a 50mm DX lens as far as i can tell. I know some people say it does make a difference and others say it doesn't, so I'm confused. If I use a 50mm FX lens on my DX camera will it be exactly as it would be if i had a 50 mm DX lens on my DX camera. Will it crop it at all? Please explain it too.thanks!
Added (1). I'm thinking of getting the Nikon 35 mm DX lens, but if i can get a 50mm i think that would be a better use of my money, i can only get one or the other not both.
Added (2). So, Andrew, I'm still a little confused. If i get a 35mm DX for my DX camera it'll show up as a 35 mm should. But if i get a 50mm fx for my DX camera will it seem like i cropped it? My goal is to have the equivalent of a 50mm on my DX, not only in view angle and focal length but also the zoom or closeness of what I'm photographing.
I'm plannig to buy a 18-300mm lenses. Is it compatible to my D3100 Nikon DSLR?

Why is my Nikon SB-600 flash not working anymore?
I have a nikon sb-600 flash, been working fine for 3 years with my nikon d90 and d7000. Today its been misfiring. It will fire off maybe 3 or 4 times, then it doesn't fire, then few seconds later it will work again, very random. I waited 20 seconds to make sure it was recharging, but it still wouldnt fire. I'm using Energizer Rechargable batteries, which i just charged for 6 hours.
Could it be a bad bulb? Or would that make any sense, since it still fires, just not every time.
If anyone could give me some suggestions id appreciate it
