Which Lens Next? (Nikon)?

I've had a Nikon D5100 with a basic 18-55mm lens and am looking for a larger lens with more potential. The main camera use wil be for an A Level Photography course, but will also be used for long into the future. I want something that can do many different things in one, isn't too expensive, and will be able to use for a long time!

Thanks in advance!

Added (1). ALSO. I'm happy to buy second hand!

Fish Eye and Crop Factor

So I want to get a Fish Eye Lens to do some photography and I was talking to a guy about getting the right one for my camera. He talked about Crop Factor and Sensor Size and, well I have no idea what lens to get. I have a Nikon D3100 and the senor size is 23.1 X 15.4 mm. What's a good size fish eye lens to get for this camera?

What relationship does megapixel rating have with image quality?

I'm about to purchase my first DSLR, and I'm noticing that nikon has a 24 megapixel (D3200) for 550 dollars at my best buy. Their better and more expensive model, however, only has a 16 megapixel rating (D5100.) Cannon also has options… With a slightly higher megapixel rating and a slightly better camera as you go down the line. How worried should I be about megapixel rating? I won't really ever be printing over 11x14's.
With a higher Megapixel rating, Will that provide the ability to print a larger image without seeing the fuzzy dots that make up the digital image? Does image quality in a more expensive camera sometimes trump a large megapixel number in a cheaper camera?

How to get my Nikon D3100 to take the picture RIGHT when I press button?

I'm a beginner and I can't figure out how to get my camera to take the picture RIGHT when I press the button.
When I press the button it snaps and the screen goes black like it took the picture but then it snaps again and it's like it took my picture late.

Can you manually focus your camera and still use autofocus?

Is it good for your camera to use the autofocus and maunally zoom? I'm new to the camera "profession." I use the manual zoom in and the switch the m to a for autofocus. It gives the picture the focus it needs that I can't get with the manual sometimes. Is this bad for the camera? Or is it normal? I have a Nikon d3200.

I picked up my first SLR camera, it's a Nikon D3100 it came with 2 lenses (18-55mm & 55-200mm) and was wondering which one would be best for taking pictures of lightning and severe weather and the advantages of the 2 lenses? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Can I repair the shutter on my Nikon D3100?

It is giving me an error code to re press the shutter release, but nothing happens. It seems like it should be an easy fix.
