With my Nikon D70 the err message is displayed while out of automatic?
When I shoot in automatic mode and some of the others (like portrait) the camera works fine. However when I'm in manual and of the other modes it takes the picture but says err on the screen and the picture is not saved to the camera. Does anyone know how to fix the err message. I'm running firmware a 1.01 and b 1.02 and shoot with a nikon 18-55mm lens

Is it better to shoot in RAW or Jpeg Part 2
Wow!
Everyone has been So helpful with my first question about preferences between RAW or Jpeg, I thought I'd try another! Thank you so much for your knowledge with all of this. If I new how to "respond" to your thoughtful answers I would do that.
So to clear it up a bit: I'm starting a photography biz. I've just finished school, purchased Lightroom 3 as my main editing source (if you have any other preferences let me know! I can always use more editing products!) The question I have between RAW and Jpeg had to do with the idea of being scared of not having the proper software to upload my images if they are taken in RAW. A lot of articles I read said that you must have a particular software compatible with RAW images and often times you have to convert them into jpeg if you don't.
Also, I'm wondering about the space they take up on the camera. I have a Nikon D5000 and I also read that when you shoot in RAW you have half the storage space on your camera that you do with Jpeg. I can take up to 200 images in a 2 hour shoot easily! How would I compensate for that?
I'm such a new-bie at all this! I appreciate your help more than you know!

Which is a better offer for the Nikon D80 I'm about to buy?
I'm getting a Nikon D80 so do you think I should get this 30 pc kit which has a memory card and everything including the camera and two Tamron lenses. (They cost about 1, 200 $) Or just the camera and an 18-135mm lens and Nikon D80 body which costs about 600 $? Once I buy these I can't go off buying extra lenses etc.
P.S. If you think I should go for the 30 pc kit, should I get an 18-55 and 70-300 lens or an 18-55 and 55-200?

How to capture speed shot on my Nikon D90?
How can i shoot super quick 4.5 fps shots on my Nikon D90? (i have the AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR Lens)
what ISO settings and etc? (i'm still a beginner)

I'm beginner photography enthusiast shopping for my first digital SLR. I've found one I really like, the Nikon D90. However it is really pricey - $1200. My question is, for someone looking for their first SLR do you think this is too much? Or could it be better to buy something I can grow into and use for a long time? I've never even put a finger on an SLR before so this will be my first camera that's not a point and shoot. I plan on taking some photography classes next spring out at my local college.
Also any other brand and model recommendations are greatly appreciated!

2 very similar cameras Nikon D7000 & Nikon D90. Professionally which is better?
Thinking about getting one of these cameras, however they seem to be about the same as one another. Or am i missing some key features that makes either one of them better? Please help, which one is better, or either one is just as good?
also any good things or bad things about either one is also helpful.

I was wondering to get a G nikon 50mm f 1.4?
I already have manual focus nikon 50mm
f1.8. As I'm using D5000; it's really hard
To manual focus in low lights! Any suggestions? Is it worth spending on autofocus?

Nikon SLR lens autofocus not working properly?
I'm having trouble with my lens on my D40, it used to work ok but now if I change lenses or turn of the camera my 55-200 AF shows out and won't autofocus. I have to jiggle it or take it on and off repeatedly to get it to work. Any suggestions on what the problem may be? Or how much it would cost to repair?

Camera difference with the Nikon d90 and nikon d3000.which is better

I haven't used my camera for a while so i took it out today. It's acting weird. For example, when i take off the lens, it still shutters?
and there's an "err" with it.
when i press the button to take a picture, it shutters, but takes no picture.
there's nothing wrong with the sd card, or battery.
