I was wondering to get a G nikon 50mm f 1.4?

I already have manual focus nikon 50mm
f1.8. As I'm using D5000; it's really hard
To manual focus in low lights! Any suggestions? Is it worth spending on autofocus?

Certainly the AF-S 50 mm f/1.4 lens will allow you to use your lens in the auto-focus mode. If you can budget for it, you will be happier.
The thing is, I'm guessing you are not using the electronic rangefinder in your cameras viewfinder.
When the green light is off, the lens is not in focus. When it blinks, it is close to being in focus and when it becomes a steady green dot, you are in focus.

Guess what? The AF will have a harder time focusing in the dark. Even at f/1.4, you will need more to manually focus the lens to get that critical focus point on the dot. I'm talking about shooting in well lighted conditions. In the dark, manual focusing may be your only option.

I would recommend you to buy Nikon 50mm f/1.4G SIC SW Prime Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
