Nikon d3000, light graffiti and shutter speed?
I'm curious in everything for this - I've never done this before and I wanted to try it, some websites just tell me I need tochangethe shutter speed and to use a flashlight or a glowstick, but I need more. What should the shutter speed be on and how do I change it? What mode should the camera be on why I try this and how do I change the mode so it is continuous while I have the selftimer on? Help please! I'm really interested in trying this and I can't find good answers anywhere! Also, if there are any very good videos out there to help explain, please send them!

How to add items on my nikon d7000?
I know how to go to "My menu" and click "add items" but they don't show up where i put them. I want to add "set picture control" to my "shooting menu". Any help would be great! Thanks
Added (1). I figured it out i think… I wanted to add shortcuts to my main menus but i realized i can't do that while on auto. I have to be on another setting such as shutter speed or something.

Which camera has better image quality the Sony Nex-5 or the Nikon D3100?
I'm planning on buying a SLR or SLR hybrid camera. I like the portability of the Nex-5 and they say that it is just as good as a starting SLR. So I'm wondering is that really true?

The nikon d3100.
i don't want your opinion on it, i'm just asking whether or not you need to buy the extra lenses. It comes with one, right? So i don't need the others because i'm a beginner?

What makes dslr cameras better than compact digital cameras?
I just ordered the nikon d3100 which i believe has about 14.1 mega pixels. My mom just got an olympus compact digital camera that has 14 megapixels, but the quality is horrible. I know that the d3100 is supposed to have great quality pictures, but they have basically the same amount of megapixels, so what makes it a better quality than the olympus?
p.s. For all i know megapixels mean nothing at all… I don't know much about cameras lol i'm just curious what makes them so different.

NIKON D60 - taking pictures to reviewing?
Rencently my camera has become extremly slow at letting me see the image I have just taken. For example, I will take a picture then the camera will automatically show me the image with in seconds of taking it. Now it is taking a very long time to show me the image, it shows the green light flashing and the little icon saying it's 'loading' i assume.
My question is, this has not happened in the past, but just starting happening now. I have tried changing settings but no luck there, could it possibly be the memory card (8GB) although I do not have a large amount of images already on it, it is also becoming increasily hard to produce a stop-motion as it is extremly slow.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, I appreciate any answers very much.

I just got a nikon d3000 and I love it. The only problem is sometimes I'll get a picture in focus and then it won't shoot. The exposure scale on the screen is flashing but I don't know how to fix that. Any help would be appreciated!

What can I do to improve my photography?
I'm a freshman in High School who started getting interested into photography a year ago. Anyways, I consider myself an amateur and consider getting a good camera to improve my photography (maybe a Nikon D90 or Canon 550D). On the other hand, there are photography class and yearbook in my school, should I join those classes? Please go to my flickr page and suggest anything I can improve on: Thanks!
