Nikon d3000 shooting trouble?
I just got a nikon d3000 and I love it. The only problem is sometimes I'll get a picture in focus and then it won't shoot. The exposure scale on the screen is flashing but I don't know how to fix that. Any help would be appreciated!
Look at your light meter. The camera will sometimes not take an exposure if your exposure is incorrect. On the high side.
My guess is you are trying to use the camera in some kind of automatic mode and have exceeded the parameters of a proper exposure.
Try this. Turn off all the auto functions the camera. Set the ISO to 200 and using the camera in the manual mode, look at the light meter in the viewfinder and set the exposure to where it reads -0-.
Then aim the camera at a far object and try taking the shot.
All dSLR's have fail-safe systems to try to prevent new users from taking shots that are incorrectly exposed or out of focus
