My Nikon D40 won't take close up pictures with a 18-55mm lens? - 1
It won't take close up pictures it just focuses on the background not the foreground. I'm currently using a 18-55 mm lens. I don't know if it's a setting I put it on or that the lens is broken- It's been broken in the past and I had to pay to have it fixed.

How does the video limit work in Nikon D3100?
So in D3100 there's a 10 minute video limit, does that mean that i can record for 10 minutes than the video will stop and i will be able to record again? Or the camera can only record up to 10 minutes?

When I look physically at the size of the aperture it look a lot smaller than 4.5 and when I put the camera on auto with & very bright light it goes down to f 11 and when I put the camera on A it goes down to f22? So finally what is the minimum aperture?

I have a nikon D90 with currently a nikkor af-s dx 18-105 lens (part of the kit) and i want to get new lens. I'm really into landscape and street phtography (sometimes protraits but lets leave this out for now). I was thinking of getting a wide lens (maybe prime but not sure). What i want to ask is if i would notice any difference between my 18-105 and an 18-24 maybe or other wide lenses that include the focal length i already have. Is it a good idea to buy smaller focal lengths like 10mm? What are my best options? I'm an amateur not a pro and my budget is around 200-250.
