How do I make Portfolio for Fashion photography?

I want to make my fashion photography portfolio but I don't have any contact of people or friends. And beside that Don't have so much fund to invest for hiring a models So is there any other option for making Fashion Photography Portfolio. Totally stuck at the middle of point

Thou I'm using my gear Nikon D7000 with 18-105mm VR lens DX format

I'm looking for buying a new prime lens for my DSLR Nikon D3200. Please tell me which lens I should go for and why? (50mm or 35mm) And tell me if I'll be able to use them for long time purpose(for my next nikon dslr) or not?

How do I get my violin, dslr, and laptop on a plane?

My dslr gear is small. I have the following items

D3200 body and kit lens
Nikon 50mm f1.4
2 B+W and filters
One flash, batteries, cleaning kit and flash triggers

I do not even have a tripod.

and that is it. I have a B&W headphone, one small WD hard drive and a 15.6 MacBook Pro.

My violin is precious and I want to carry it with me all the time.

I have two options

Buy a slim satchel type bag that will hold my dslr gear and laptop
Or get a small camera type holder like the Nat Geo explorer and put it in my large suitcase as check in. I can lock my samsonite checkin baggage to avoid theft

How much gigabytes of sd card do I need for recording overnight with a Nikon D5100 camera?

I need to record the activities going around my house. Some weird stuff is going on and I want to record it, maybe I can understand what's going on.

I will be going to a lantern lighting Festival this weekend. I have a Nikon D40 DSLR and am wondering what the best settings would be to avoid trails, blurriness, grain. I of course do not wish to use flash.

I can't view my pictures from my camera on my PC?

I connected my Nikon D5100 to a computer my dad built (so I can't tell ya what kind it is). This is the first time I've had this problem so i don't know what's up.

The computer reads the camera as connected, but once the thumbnails show up, they disappear almost immediately and turn into some screwy file name, and when clicked on, I get a notice saying "we can't open this file."

So what gives?

Just bought used nikon d3200. Won't take pictures without sd card

I bought a used nikon d3200 today. It didn't come with an sd card but it seems to be working except I'm not able to take pictures without an sd card in it. Everything else seems fine, I was able to change settings on info and menu to use it manually. It's my 1st dslr camera so I've got plenty to learn from it. So is this normal that I'm not able to shoot without a memory card? I just wanna make sure there's nothing wrong with it before spending more $ on a memory card, I just don't know how if I could shoot without it. Couldn't find anything on google about it either.

How do I know what lenses are compatible with my camera?

So some people have discouraged me from getting a Nikon camera like the D3200. I need camera i can use to shoot tv ads, youtube funny skits, maybe a tv show in YouTube as well and a short film or documentary. Is this something i can start with, as my budget is small.

Camera setting for fireworks? D5100 nikon? - 1

I recently bought a D5100 Nikon from my cousin and we haven't had a chance to get together for her to explain to me all the fancy buttons and settings.Tonight being Canada day, I'd love to take some pictures outside and especially of the fireworks so if anyone can tell me what setting would work best I would really appreciate it.
