Help fixing raw pictures taken with nikon d3100?
Okay, i have the nikon d3100 (i got for christmas). I was playing with the settings and ended up taking all of my easter photos in "raw" format. At first i could not even pull them up on my computer. I since have downloaded software to switch from raw to jpeg. But, the pictures look horrible. You can see each pixel in the picture.
The Nikon View NX2 software that they provide should be able to make a good conversion to.jpg. Free third party converters can often do a poor job. The expensive Capture NX2 (which I don't have) is reputed to be a very good choice for editing from the raw files.
If you do not have your original CD you can download at

Either use the supplied software or spend some money to get a program like Adobe Lightroom.
When you shoot in raw be ready to do some post processing. Removing noise exposure adjustments etc… If you don't want to deal with it then shoot in jpeg format. The camera does all the processing for you. Stick with the jpeg/fine format until you are ready to do some processing.
