How to take this photo? - 1

I have this necklace that when spun has two words on it. The way that it works is half of the words are printed on one side and the other half on the other side. I want to take a picture of it spinning thus capturing the completed words and i have been playing around with my camera and have been unsuccessful. Could you tell me what might work to achieve this? (Aperture, shutter speed, iso, etc.) i have a nikon d5100

Take two pictures and composite them together in Photoshop or some similar program.

I think there are too many variables to try to describe how to actually make this capture in the camera.
