Why does my nikon D3000 take so long to take a photo?
I have it set to auto to take 'simple, nothing special' photos, yet it i have to keep clicking the button several times to take a single photo, its annoying.
I have one too I know how you feel, have you tried this,
turn your dial to 'guide' select 'shoot' scroll down to' timers & remote' then scroll along to' continuous' and select this, now when you take a picture hold down the button down and it should snap pics in quicker bursts, I find portrait sometimes takes pics a bit quicker but that can also depend on the lighting and the camera angle, but to be honest with you sometimes I find the way the camera works to be a bit inconsistent, it's a great camera but an intermediate/ beginners supposed to leave you wanting more, Nikon know what there doing $$$ ;) still a beautiful piece of camera though
Show us one of those photos. Were they taken in the dark? (too dark for the camera to focus quickly?) That could be one reason.
If the camera is set to its max file /image size that may overwhelm a cheap memory card.
The camera must write data to the memory card and the memory card must be as fast as the camera's write speed.
Otherwise a junk slow memory card will slow down even the most expensive camera regardless of the brand.
If the camera is just slow regardless of a fast memory card you prob bought a piece of junk.
