Which should I choose Sony/Nikon/Canon?

I'm planning to buy a digital camera with higher optical zoom. My choices are Nikon P500 36X, PowerShot SX30 IS or Cyber-shot Digital Camera HX100V. I heard Sony is the best as they have internal Image Stabilizer that helps providing clearer images. I do want to know whether Canon/Nikon have this also are these good choices. I don't have much budget for D Slr cameras. Please give me your opinions with relevant references(for me to get clearer idea)

Added (1). I'm looking for HIGHER OPTICAL ZOOM(10x and above).

Canon super zooms rock! Anyway try all the cameras before taking the final decision.

I've owned the Canon SX30is for about two weeks now. I have taken about 500 pictures with the camera to date. Compared to the Panasonic the image quality under most conditions is slightly improved. Under low light conditions the Panasonic is noticeably superior. Because the image stabilization works so well I can usually cap the ISO setting at 400 and still get blur free shots. Under moderate to bright conditions I can hand hold the camera at full zoom (35x).

Let me congratulate you for selecting one of the best models of each brands. Fortunately I have tried with all these models and I personally believe Sony cybershot HX100V is far superior than the other 2 brands. Sony is ergonomically easier to use with better clarity in both 2D and 3D format. But the best thing I prefer is its performance and response, the moment u switch it on u r ready to go. Its anti shaking feature is better than the other. On top of it Sony is the brand name which anyone wanted to go with.

I hope this will help you to find out a right decision.

All the best…
