Which one to choose between Nikon D3300, Olympus OMD EM5, Canon 1200D?

Please suggest the better one among these 3. I'm a beginner and my needs are for landscapes, people, macro and night mode. Does the Olympus give better image quality than Nikon D3300? Really confused between these two.

You may read all sorts of technical reviews where they take endless shots of black and white patterns. Based on that they come to the conclusion that camera A is better than camera B. They really are in the business of splitting hairs.

In the real world 99% of the population will not be able to distinguish between photos taken on any of those 3 cameras. Buy the one you like best, gives you the best deal or is like the one your friend has. Whichever you choose you will be delighted with it.

The Nikon and Canon do have larger sensors, so you can expect better performance from them. I suggest you use the links at the top of the column to read the reviews.

Also DxoMark rates the sensors

Hope that helps clear up the confusion.

I would choose either the Nikon or the Canon. Either camera would suit your needs. The most important thing to think about is the lens. Get a nice wide lens for landscapes and of course a macro lens for macro photography. I only use Nikon, but Canon is good too.

I suggest you read the professional reviews on DP Review and after reading them, decide which of the three cameras YOU want to buy. It is your money you are spending, not ours, so listening to complete strangers with bona fides you can authenticate telling you to buy X, Y or Z camera is not a good decision making model.

I'd go for the Pentax K-500, some would prefer the Sony SLT A-58's superior video performance, and personally, I'd never buy an EVIL model like the Olympus.

It's your opinion that counts, though, handle All the alternatives and choose the one that feels best in your hands.
