Which dslr to prefer nikon d750 or anything else in same price range (body only)?

What I would prefer is going to be completely based upon what I like to photograph and my personal style.
The D750 is a good DSLR as all DSLRs are. The D750 could be the best camera - for you. It's not possible to say if the D750 is going to be the best option for you without knowing what you like to photograph, is this going to be your first DSLR, are you already invested in Nikon gear?

The alternatives from other brands are:
The Canon 5D Mark III - This would be a better choice for those who want to shoot video, and they need one device to shoot both stills and video. Stay away from Nikon if you need to shoot video as they are among the worst of any camera type.

The Pentax K-1 - This is going to be THE DSLR to choose if you need to shoot hand held in low light or if you like to shoot night shots. Pentax is the only brand of DSLR that has in-body image stabilization (IBIS). This allows you to use any lens ever made for the Pentax KR mount and get 5 axis image stabilization up to about 5.5 stops. IBIS also means that your kit will be cheaper since you don't have to constantly buy stabilization systems with every lens. IBIS means that the lenses will be sharper because it doesn't need additional lens elements like Nikon's VR and Canon's IS systems do. The lenses will be lighter as well.

Unique to Pentax is their Pixel Shift technology. All CMOS sensors have more red pixels than blue or green ones. Pixel shifting moves the sensor one pixel at a time to create an image that is much sharper with color and contrast that is not possible to obtain in any other camera. Because pixel shift requires 3 shots, it's not good for moving subjects.

Pentax uses the pixel shift feature to allow it to take shots of the stars for very long exposures. All other cameras with a fixed sensor will require that you use fast f/2.8 (or better) lenses at high ISOs if you want to record the stars as pinpoints. With Astro Tracer, Pentax allows you to shoot at a lower ISO for longer which results in sharper, clear, shots with better color and contrast.
To duplicate this with any other camera, you'd need a special tripod head with a motor in it that moves the camera to counter the movement of the Earth.

Down side to the K-1 is it's slowish focusing system and frame rate. So if you want to shoot sports, then go with the D750 or a 5D mark iii.

Like Nikon, Pentax is pretty bad at video. So again, if video is your thing, then you have to go with a 5D Mark iii.

Having shot with Pentax since - probably - before you were born, I'd go for the Pentax K-1.

You do realise that any camera bought, "Body only," is an extremely expensive paperweight until you add a lens?
