Which camera brand is better for digital cameras - Nikon or Canon?

Actually Nikon and canon are very simIliar brands, it just comes down to which camera you favor most. I know many photographers that start out with a Canon and then switch to Nikon, but again it's just the one that's feels most natural to you. As for I, I'm just getting a starter camera from Nikon because It feels natural for me.x) not much help && sorry.

Either or. It doesn't matter which brand you pick. Both brands are pretty much equals.

I had several Nikon film cameras and switched to Canon when I bought my first digital. I borrowed a friend's digital Nikon recently to film his daughter's wedding. While it was "OK" and the photos came out well, I found many of the features to be cumbersome to use and the camera just seemed uncomfortable and balky. The optics are virtually equal but I think the Canon auto-focus is faster, more accurate, and allows the user to over-ride the focus more easily. The prices for the comparable models are almost exactly the same and, based on that, I think the Canon is a better value.

They've been one-upping each other for decades. It doesn't matter.
Buy what you feel more comfortable with.
