Which brand is better? Nikon or cannon?

I want ti buy a digital camera but i don't know which one to buy or which one take better pics please help and why do you think that brand you say is better

Canon I love my camera.

That's like asking which is better Coke or Pepsi. Ford or Chevrolet. McDonalds or Wendys.

Canon for me.

They are both good, reputable manufacturers and I don't think there's much to choose between them. I've owned a Nikon Coolpix, very good camera, good image quality and easy to use.
Now I have a Canon EOS 450D DSLR, again brilliant quality. Have a look at some different models from each maker, go to somewhere like Currys or PC World where you can handle them and take a few shots, make up your mind then look around for best price. Simply Electronics is an online shop that's great for selection and price.

I've never heard of Cannon.

With these 2 you have to have them in your hand and see how they feel, there's not much to choose between similar models, but nikon has the edge for me
