What are your opinions of Sony DSLR and DSLTs?
First off, don't try to sell me on Nikon or Canon. I've shot with both and for me, I prefer Sony. However, I'm looking for opinions from some pros who know Sony. I'm getting my first DSLT soon so I'm excited to see what it can do.

The DSLRs weren't bad cameras. Some quirky design decisions but all brands have that. I did find the lack of a focus assist light strange.
The SLTs.well… You've got all the specs to impress your friends with but personally I'd NEVER buy such a camera which lacks an optical viewfinder and eats trough a battery in half the time real DSLRs do.
The lens lineup is slowly maturing but has a ways to go
My brother loves Sony DSLR's. But, he also is a fan of Sony point & shoots, as well. Their DSLR line has many innovative features, but not much acceptance from professionals. At events, sports fields, and news conferences, I don't see many pros using Sony equipment (except for video cameras)
I won't try to sell you on Nikon or Canon, if you're already made up your mind. But do yourself a favor and read what JD Powers had to say in their Customer Satisfaction Survey. Look at the Sony ranking.
