Does it matter if your battery is very low when you try and upload your pictures?

My battery is almost dead on my nikon d3000, does it interfere with the upload to my iphoto?

It doesn't i all ways do that

It absolutely does. If you batteries fail during the upload, many of the images can become corrupt.
This is just one reason why many of us use USB card readers to copy all of our images to our computers
Just recharge you camera battery if you insist on using the USB cord to connect the camera to the computer.
