Thinking about getting a great camera for photography?
My friend has a nikond40 and I noticed that camera is really good with taking pictures, and yes I do have experience with taking photography. So I asked about getting the nikond40 but I guess they are the model from last year in 2010 and I read that the nikon is like 500 dollars which is fine; but I was wondering what they are newest model is of the nikon and the best because hers takes extremely beautiful and realistic shots.

Get a nikonD60. I have one and it's great for photography!
The replacement D40, is the D3000.

The replacement is the D3100.It represents a substantial resolution increase that will be visible in your pictures. It's only $699. Save up the extra $200. Worth it.
