Thinking of getting a new camera?

I want a new digital camera, but i'm not sure where to start. I want something with really good picture quality and basic features. Face recognition, focus, anti- red eye, etc. Would be nice. I'd like it to be under $300 unless it's really worth it, but i'm not looking for a camera that i'll use forever. If it works underwater that's be nice, but not if it increases the price much. Any suggestions on where to start? I'm thinking maybe a nikon, canon, or kodak? I'd also like if it recorded.

Go with a nikon, I've had a lot of cameras and of all of them out there nikon is the best, I have 3 of them now and never had a problem with them like other brands.

Check out for Canon PowerShot ELPH 320 HS
- This Camera feels like a nice touch screen phone in your hand, light and sleek. And it does have many features that you get on many smartphone, like setting your colors, themes, shutter sound, switch on sound etc.
- It's built quality is much better than many other Point and shoot that I have used in the past.
