Sony NEX5N vs Nikon J1 for taking photos/videos of toddler?

Hi, which 1 of these will be better at taking photos of a fast moving toddler? Keeping the shots in focus

Both can do the job
Spend some time in a proper camera store and see which one you like the best and then buy it.

The NEX5 has a bigger sensor and better tracking of moving objects so it would probably work better for this application. If you were to spend the same amount of cash on a DSLR-type camera, you'll get better focusing though.
