I want to buy a DSLR Camera Remote Cable. Which one?
I want to buy a Cable Remote for my Canon EOS 400d. Its a very old camera. It works perfectly by the way! I was thinking of buying a Nikon MC-DC2 Camera remote control. Will it work on my camera? I badly want to take night shots with long exposure.
Problem is, the Canon remote is wireless. I wanted one with cable.
Will the Nikon one work with my Canon is the end question.

I know nothing of cameras. I need a camera for high resolution, something that can record videos (with good sound), and it needs zoom that is decent. I have about $1500. I need the answer fast because Costco is having some rebates before this Saturday. Some of my friends have the Canon T3i and the pictures come out really high resolution. That's what I really want. Is there a huge difference between 24 and 18? Which of these is the best?

Nikon experts help. 60mm micro/macro lens?
Hiya
I got a 60mm Afs 2.8 macro (or as nikon calls it Micro) lens for xmas.
Its quality and v.close but I have seen pictures done using the same lens which are super duper close… Like flies eyes and spider eyes etc… And having fiddled with it I can seem to find that level of magnification. Do people use ext tubes to get this close or is there something I'm not doing?
I know 1 v1 is the upgraded version of j1 however it does not have built in flash so that is one of the downsides. However i now can't choose between the two can someone help.
Any comments about SONY ALPHA 380?
I'm thinking to buy sony a380. Can you give me any reviews? Comments? Violent reactions about this model?

I've tried amazon, but they don't have shipping to Canada.
It would also be beneficial if someone knew where I could get a hold of a rechargeable version of this battery with the charger (it was on Amazon, but same thing with the shipping issues),
* Also, if anyone knows, and because I'm a noob at this sort of thing (I've had this Nikon camera for a while but only used it for a little bit before the battery died), can I use both the normal battery pack and the rechargeable battery pack in the same camera, or does the rechargeable work in some and not in others?
My Nikon 5100 won't turn on at all?
I have had this camera for a year now and it always worked fine. I used it for the holidays and all. I charge it completely last week and when I turned it on today it was dying.So, I plugged in the charger and it wouldn't charge at all. Only the green light would flash indicating that the memory card is in. The camera would say shutter disabled due to low baterry etc. Then it died completely it would not turn on at all and the green light doesn't even show no more. I switched chargers to see if that would work and no dice. I left it plugged in the whole night and still nothing. Has anyone here had similiar problems? Even with a different camera. I'm going to take it to a store and check if they can deal with it, but I was wondering if anyone knows or thinks what could be wrong with it.anyways thanks
Can I do eyepiece projection astrophotography on an dobsonian telescope?
I have an Orion XT8 and was wanting to do a little photography. I have a Nikon 5100 DSLR. I know the dobsonians are not meant for this but I have seem many people have success with non deep space objects. I have also heard that the dobsonian telescope may not accommodate the eyepiece projection method. I was thinking about getting this.http://www.telescope.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=101417. Nikon 1 J1 Flash stopped working?
I purchased a Nikon 1 J1 camera for Christmas and was taking photos at a Christmas gathering when the flash suddenly stopped working. It was only the second time I used the camera. I can't find any setting or function that would cause this. Anybody have an answer?
