How many photos will a 8GB SD card hold when being used with a 24MP camera?
I'm getting a 24MP Nikon D5200 and was wondering how many photos my 8GB SD card can hold if I take the photos in JPEG Fine.
Trying to choose my first DSLR, advice?
I've narrowed down my choices to the nikon d5200 and the canon 650d (t4i)
They're being sold for exactly the same price at a local store and I have no preference between nikon/canon. I'm trying to choose based on the specs of these two particular models, as they are exactly the same price and I want to better deal.
I've read reviews and comparisons but I still can't choose.
Any input would be appreciated.
What are the identifying markings of nikon eyeglass lenses?
I purchased what i was told to be nikon seemax progressive eyeglass lenses with see coat max coating for 940$ (lenses only). However the store didnot indicate on my receipt what exactly i paid for and when i asked for the certificate of authenticity from nikon i was told that people normally donot ask for this and so that they threw this document away. I'm not particularly happy with these lenses - they are rather thick, yellowish and smudge (dirty) very easily. I'm looking for some halmark on the thenses that can pove they are the latest product available by nikon and i don't know what to look for.

I have looked at leapold and nikon but I want to pay for the scope not the brand, I've handled all these scopes in person I just want to know what these scope i posted can handle
But if you do have other scopes that you recommend i'm open, rand around $200.

What is the slowest shutter speed I can use for Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 with VR?
I'm shooting a nikon 7000 70-200mm 2.8 VR. Of course depends on how fast subject is moving, but just handholding what is slowest shutter i could normally use to get a sharp picture? Since there's a crop factor, should I make up for that, and shoot even faster, such as 1/250 or more, when i'm zoomed all the way out?
Also… I have a 2x teleconverter with the 70-200 2.8, which would make it a 600mm with crop. So the slowest shutter I could use for this be 1/600? Or would i be able to get a sharp photo handheld at 1/500 with VR?

Do you know of anywhere to rent a really awesome camera?
I don't have the money/desire to buy a nikon, but i would love to have a camera that takes really good quality pictures for my vacation, maybe for like 2 weeks, is that possible? I know rent-a-center doesn't do cameras, so if you can direct me to a link/location that would be nice, thanks!
