Do you know of anywhere to rent a really awesome camera?
I don't have the money/desire to buy a nikon, but i would love to have a camera that takes really good quality pictures for my vacation, maybe for like 2 weeks, is that possible? I know rent-a-center doesn't do cameras, so if you can direct me to a link/location that would be nice, thanks!

It just doesn't work that way.
A mediocre camera that you are familiar with will give you better results than a more expensive one that you have yet to learn to work with.
Especially the kind of camera that you likely have in mind, DSLRs, are rather unforgiving of user mistakes.
Rental companies only rent top end gear because it is usually pros that use them.
As a result the rental for camera plus lens(es) won't be cheap - especially for 2 weeks.
You may find that for the price of 2 weeks renting you can buy a pretty good entry level camera with kit lens.
As others have said the photography chain is as strong as the weakest link.
awesome camera + awesome lens + awesome subject + dummy user = carp photos
If you have never used a DSLR before it will take you 3-6 months to get to grips with it.
Buy a mid priced SLR doesn't matter if it only gets used occasionally, but it's always there. My 1st camera was a Box Brownie, which is older than me, and handed down to me from my Dad and from his Dad and I still have it.
Various other slr's have been acquired and when needs must a better one is acquired.
Current modern cameras have so many features it can be a bit daunting as to what does what, where and when, but for just occasional / casual use any good mid priced modern camera will probably do all your ever likely to need. Renting is one way but if you have no experience with 'that' camera you could finish up with no photos at all. Better to buy a mid priced one and shoot every thing in sight before you go away and by looking at those pictures, down loaded to your Computer, it will show you what results you have achieved and make your next photo trip/vacation even better, as you will have even more photos to keep.
It can become addictive!
Enjoy ya 'hols' and get some memories on 'your' camera.
