Advice on purchasing a new DSLR?
Hi, I have finally saved enough money up to purchase my first DSLR. I will be using this DSLR mainly for filmmaking and not so much photography. The only features I really need are having good video quality and having an articulating screen. The camera that has caught my attention the most is the Nikon D5300 and almost bought it a while ago. However, I held myself back as I was still unsure aboout purchasing the camera as I was hoping if anyone knew if there's a newer or better camera I should look at or wait for. My budget is basically $1k but I do not want to spend all of it on just a camera but I would consider it if the camera is really something worth getting.
Using a battery grip without battery in it?
This is something I really need to know before I rush out and buy me a Nikon D610 and a Pico battery grip!
I want a battery grip because the Nikon body is not big enough for my hands.
Now, please clarify, will the battery that is inside the Nikon body be enough, or is it compulsory for me to use battery, extra battery, inside the Pico battery grip to enable it?
I do not think I might ever use the portrait orientation.
I just need the grip to make the Nikon body look and feel bigger for a better hold.
So, will everything be ok if I'm on just one Nikon body battery?
Your help is much appreciated.
I'm from India
I'm looking for an entry level Dsl-r camera. I did my research and came down to these two cameras
* Nikon D5300
* Canon 70D
I want a nice Dsl-r with good results and one which would last long enough for me to take snaps on a sightseeing tour or so. Nikon or Canon? Always difficult to choose between these two brands. Would love some professional advice and some experience sharing would be appreciated.
Can I buy a DSLR (Nikon D5300) and not pay vat?
So I'm from Tunisia and I will be visiting the UK this summer, and I'm wondering whether if I can buy it from usa and shipping it to london and on my departure from UK taking it with me to Tunisia without paying the VAT cause I won't be using or opening it in UK Land, I know this procedure exists but I don't know how to do it.
With Thanks to all

These were all taken with my Nikon P100. I have entered a few of these on Pixoto and they won a couple of "awards", but I can always use more constructive feedback. All I ask is that you aren't rude.
I want to buy a dslr camera within 25000 to 30000. Which one is best?
I want to buy a dslr camera within 25000 to 30000… Which one is best?
Today I bought Canon 70D camera from Costco, and it came in a bundle for approx. $1400 - camera, 32 GB Class 10 SD card, case, 2 lenses, charger, HDMI to mini HDMI cable and a white cable and a couple other things.
I talked to many best buy employees about canon vs nikon and they said it depends, and i was asking in filming/noob professional photography. They said Canon is more reliable.
Is this true? I've been using Nikon my whole life cause it's more user-friendly, so it's my first time owning a Canon.
… I'm in a film course this summer so when I enter college I'll have an understanding of the film industry, but I want to take very good pictures during events, so this camera seems it's going to be good.
Nikon l820 for recording skateboarding?
So i just got into filming and I want to know if this is a good camera for shooting videos and pictures and if not then what is because I can't find any thing for cheap. I don't want a camera that's over 250. Please don't say "oh that won't get you anything"
I'm about to be in yearbook and I have a camera already (Canon Rebel t1i) and I like it and all but the sharpness of the photos aren't exactly the best and it is not good at all at motion photos. Like I have to take sports photos and all that and it will suck to have blurry photos. I need to know if there's another camera I can get that isn't too expensive that would have clear photos and be really good at motion photos.
Nikon camera says memory contains no images?
I took some wedding pictures on Sunday, and my husband view them right after I took them. So we know the pictures were taken. But yesterday when I connected my camera to the computer. Only 5 pictures out of 60 were there. I deleted those and now I get "memory contains no images".
