Nikon l820 for recording skateboarding?
So i just got into filming and I want to know if this is a good camera for shooting videos and pictures and if not then what is because I can't find any thing for cheap. I don't want a camera that's over 250. Please don't say "oh that won't get you anything"
I'm baffled?
The camera isn't that important… It's how you use your equipment… You could film the same action that's in the You Tube clip in the link with a mobile phone… The phone won't give you the same quality or perspective… It is capable of recording the moment… The real answer to your question is it isn't about the camera… It's more about you and how creative you can be.
Yes, you can get good video from the Nikon L820. Here are some owner reviews.

Camcorders are more user friendly for video and you can get a decent one for about $250.
Explain in more detail please.
If you can't get good video using the L820, then you need to develop some additional skills. Changing cameras will not improve your video.
Start with a general script so you get all the scenes you need for your video. Include any notes of the point of view you want in each scene.
Watch your lighting and move if you need to enhance to overall lighting of the scenes
