Nikon coolplix 310 won't turn on?

I have has this camera for about 2 years now. It has worked perfectly fine before but now it won't turn on. I even changed the batteries and tried to plug it in to my computer and its just a black screen it doesn't turn on.

Double check that you put the batteries in with the correct polarity. This is a mistake I make all the time. The polarities are marked on the battery chamber and batteries. See page 14 of your manual for an illustrated explanation.

Black screens usually indicate a problem. Call Nikon for assistance.
