Nikon Cool Pix Camera is not registering with the computer anymore?

I had the camera plugged in moving pictures to the computer and then I took it off to take a couple more pictures and plugged it back in no more then 3 minutes later and it no longer will register?

Any ideas as to what I can do? *Tried taking out battery and card. Restarting computer. And "re-opening" the "My Computer" part MANY times hoping it would pop up…

What make/model computer do you have? Assuming you are using Windows, make sure you click the icon to 'safely remove Hardware' from your taskbar before unplugging your camera. Also make sure there's sufficient time after you plug it in for Windows to register the device so it will prompt the Image Wizard to help you download the images.

also, rather than rebooting all the time, try logging out then log back in to see if that helps.
