My Nikon cool-pix camera won't turn on?

My Nikon cool-pix s6150 won't turn on?
I got it a month ago on my birthday and it worked great with my new memory card, I had no problem with it. I didn't use it for a week and when I went to use it again it wouldn't turn on, the first thing I did was try charge it but it wouldn't charge? And the light wasn't coming on. So then I checked if the battery was in the right way and it was. But it won't turn on and I don't know what to do.
I'm 13 and I don't know anything about cameras this is my first one please help me thanks.

This camera is not a US import, so I can't find a manual for it. Some newer Nikon cameras charge via USB and some you have to remove the battery from the camera to charge it.

Since I'm not sure which style your's is, it is hard to make a recommendation.

But here are two tips anyway:

If you have to remove the battery and place it on the charger, make sure the battery is inserted into the charger correctly.

If the camera is USB charged, use the supplied USB wall charger and not a USB port on your computer - those ports sometimes can't supply enough current to properly charge a camera.
