Hi… I may buy the tamron 60mm f2 macro at roughly 300 pounds. Is it any good? And what is the nikon equivalent?

Can i use a 3rd party lens wit a nikon teleconverter tc 20 E II (new nodel)?
I own a nikon teleconverter tc 20 e (new model). All nikkor lens compatible with it are way too expensive and i can't afford to buy one as of now. Will i successfully be able to use any 3rd party lenses with the nikon teleconverter?

On a rough airline flight several months ago my lens became damaged. I know it is too late to file a claim with the airline. One of the plastic lugs that the camera uses to lock on to the lens is broken off. I didn't notice it right away because I switched lenses shortly after the flight and haven't tried to use that lens again until today. Anyway the lens will not install on the camera.
Anyway does anyone know if that kind of damage to the lens can be fixed? The closest factory authorized repair facility is over 200 miles away so it would have to be shipped.

So I want to know all about Nikon lenses. Like what the G stands for and what Nikkor is, and the meaning to ED-IF, AF-S VR and all that stuff. Any links to this information?

Polarizer filter stuck on lens
I've recently bought a dslr lens and I applied the my polarizer lens. Now I can't remove it.whenever I try to twist it to remove, it just keeps on turning with no sign of twisting out. Please help me. Its not stuck, it just won't twist out. I don't know why bc the lens and filter are both 52mm. I really value this lens and filter as well:*(

Canon 1.8f 50mm vs Nikkor 1.4f 50mm, which is better prime?
For use on a Canon camera for video. Nikkor requires an adapter. Which is clearer and higher quality?

I've recently purchased the nikkor 50mm f/1.8g lens for my entry level dslr (dx format) i have been having a lot of fun with it but i'm just having such a hard time with the manual focus. For ex. Today i took some family pictures for a good friend. Just messing around getting more expirience. And about half of my photos were out of focus when i was using manual focus. She has two infants and the dog came so it was definitely tough to focus fast because they were everywhere. But is there anything i can do to help me focus in on my subjects faster? Auto focus almost never focuses on what i want it to be focusing on!

I'm buying a dslr camera. So I just want to know the optical zooming rate of Nikon 55-300mm and Tamron 70-300 lenses. And what about 18-35?

Nikkor 18-55mm GII won't zoom?
My Nikkor 18-55mm randomly decided not to allow me to adjust the zoom ring lower than 55mm. The focus ring works just fine, in both manual and automatic zoom. I know it is not the body because I used my roommates 18-55mm and his zoom lens which both worked normally. I last used my camera on saturday afternoon. I put it back into my bag on saturday and it has been there since then. Any ideas?
