I have a nikon D5300 with the 18-55 and 35mm prime lens?
I wanted extend my reach of the camera little bit more… So should I go for
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55 - 200 mm VR II
OR
Or Nikon 18-105 or is there a major image quality difference between these lenses?
Also so I spend more time on wider end let say 18-35 ; what other lense can I use in this area?
Third party lens will do too
Thanks again
I will list my desired lenses for complete set.
Wide angle lense
35mm Nikon prime
40mm or 50 mm nikon prime macro which ever is better?
55-200mm nikon vr |
Look at the AF-S 55-300 VR instead of the 55-200. Longer reach and not a lot more money. Nikon also has an (expensive) 18-300 if you just don't want to change lenses all the time.
Define "major difference."
To see exactly how sharp each lens is, go to photozone.de.
However, using sharpness to decide between these lenses is a very bad idea. You need to get the focal length down. What do YOU need in a lens that will enable you to get the shots that you want? The answer is more than likely not another zoom lens that starts off at 18mm.
The next logical addition to a kit like yours is a 55-200 or 55-250, or maybe a 70-200 f/2.8 if you need the additional light gathering capability.
