"is this seller legit?"… I don't know, I refuse to deal with sellers located in Seoul, Hong Kong, etcetera. The chance of counterfeit items is too high.

"i didn't know Nikon make tripods"… They don't make them. They have it made for them (but normally they are cheaply made items meant for new camera buyers)

For example, B&H Photo sells them… Http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?atclk=Brand_Nikon&mnp=0&sts=ma&ci=8159&N=4291315846+4294204162&mxp=100&Ntt=nikon+tripod

"Nikon" logo looks like a Photoshop job (or poor silkscreening), but the tripod is probably as good/bad as any other $60 tripod. That said, I wouldn't bite.

You're much better off buying from the stores suggested by others, or at least from a local camera shop. In general, the fewer plastic parts there are, the longer the tripod will last. Every cheap tripod I've come across has broken. Meanwhile, I suspect that running over a Manfrotto would damage your car more than the tripod.

As others say, if your budget stretches to $50 or more you can walk into a camera store and have a choice of tripods, probably at least as good as one that is 'badged' as Nikon.
