but seriously, My dad bought one 17years ago and he doesn't use it. He wants to give it to me so what the hey right?

anyway, whether or not you get good pictures completely depends on the photographer. The N6006 is a solid 35mm camera. What is nice is that if you learn on it, you can use all of the lenses you already have on a Nikon DSLR.

I have one sitting in my closet. I packed it away the day I bought a D70.
It worked well enough for me.
Sounds like you might want to buy a couple of rolls of film and try it out.
