Lens compatibility- Nikon D300?

I have a Nikon D300 and I've been looking for a good light weight lens and I was wondering if Nikon Nikkor Lens - 35 mm - F/1.8 - Nikon F
is compatible. If not, can someone recommend one?

Any AF, AF-I or AF-S Nikkor lenses will work just fine with your D300.

Why you are buying a 35 mm lens is beyond me. Before buying that lens, I would suggest you spend some time looking for something more useful like a 12-24 mm 18-200 mm, 24-70 mm, 50 mm f/1.8 (portrait lens), 70-300 mm (action-sports) or 12-24 mm (landscapes)
