Where to keep my things in college?

Ok so I'm starting college in the fall but I don't know where I should keep my expensive stuff? I'm going to a community college so everyone might be in and out of my room. I have a Nikon D5100 camera with extra thing for it($1, 000+) an iPad 2 64gb($500+) MacBook Pro($1, 500) So its about $2, 000 easily. I don't want them to get stolen! I was thinking of just bringing them everywhere I go but how? I could get a safe but I'm afraid someone might find a way to open it.

Dorm rooms lock. So you can lock your room when you leave it. I would not take the expensive camera because I can't imagine when you would need it (unless you are taking a photography class). Check to see if you can find a trunk or box type thing that locks. Then you can lock your stuff inside it. I don't know why you would need both the Ipad and the MacBook. You could take one or the other with you if you had to but why take both when you won't need them? And then you won't have to worry about them.

Buy a "dorm-vault." I got one for $20 at 'Bed, Bath, and Beyond' two years ago, and I still use it to this day. You have to screw it into your bed post or your desk, so that no one can just take it (unless that manage to drag your entire bed out too!) and it has a lock on it and you create the password. It does not damage the furniture you screw it onto. It's awesome, trust me!
