I need a manually adjustable digital SLR camera for college and I was wondering what are the best ones out there or good one to get me started with my very first SLR camera. I really like Nikon but I will get a camera from Cannon also. (those are the two brands that are recommended for when I transfer schools.) But please help my find a great camera for school! Please list the name, a price if possible, & a link if possible.

Go to a local electronics store (such as Best Buy) or a local camera store. Look at their DSLRs. Hold them, test them out, pick one. Simple as that because there isn't much difference between Nikon and Canon's entry-level DSLRs.

The Nikon D3100 is a good entry-level DSLRS with full manual mode available. I gave you the B&H link, because they have decent pricing for legitimate products. Avoid shopping for bargain basement deals, because they usually break apart the kit as it comes from the factory and then nickel-dime you for "extras" that are really supposed to be included in the first place.

I think all modern digital SLR cameras are manually adjustable.

There's no 'best'. There are various good models and brands. Just look online

Also, it's CaNon (with one "N", not two).
