What lens/filter was used on these photos?
Hi! I'm about to get my first camera (A Nikon D3100) and I'm wondering What lens/filter/effect should i use to make my photography seem "indie" (like the following photos). Also, what lens/filter was used to create each of the following photos:
Added (1). For example, a certain coloured filter like blue. Is it a gradient coloured filter?
Indie, that's unusual. Normally the kids call it vintage. It's a matter of editing
I'm seeing hints that it might be 35mm film, higher ISO maybe 400, and a 50mm lens. The color could be any number of things. UV light does that to film. A printing technique, right out touch-ups, even a lens may have a tinge to it. If i use custom white balance, my pictures change colors between different lenses.
On a different note, you shouldn't be copying people exactly. Where is the fun in that? Express yourself and make pictures. Take some influences from others' work but don''t try to copy their color.
Only the photographer knows the answer.
BTW, what is "indie"?
I suggest that you start out with a simple Canon Powershot point-and-shoot digital camera. After you gain a little experience with it, then move up to a more complicated (and expensive) DSLR.
