What good Marco lens are there, Cheaper the better?

I have a Nikon D3000 DSLR, the lens i'm using at the moment is DX AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm. I'm looking for a good Marco lens, the cheaper the better. Also any good tripods?

Tamron's 90mm lens with the built in motor is cheap and good

Asking for a cheap macro lens is like looking for a cheap Ferrari. Cheap is relative one would guess
Look at the list of AF-S lenses available from Nikon and then decide which of the macro lenses you wish to invest.

A good tripod with 3-way head will cost around $100

I couldn't afford the Canon lens, so I bought the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro, instead (in your case, of course, you'd get it with a Nikon mount).
I love it! It is tack sharp, makes a nice "normal" lens, too, and the 105mm lets me stay away from the bugs a little further.
The only downside is that in macro, sometimes the auto focus does too much "hunting", but even that isn't an issue since I normally use manual focus for macros, anyway.
For extra close macros, I add my Kenko extension tubes.

The least expensive 1:1 macro lens for a Nikon is the AF-S 40mm micro at about $280.
While many macro users prefer longer macro lenses; 105mm for instance, the 40mm lens does fill a niche I suppose.
The main issue is that you have to be exceedingly close to your subject to get to 1:1 with the 40mm macro.
But surprisingly, there's some benefit in that the DoF is a bit wider at 40mm than at 105mm.
