Good telephoto lens for Nikon D3200 on the cheaper side?
I'm looking for a telephoto lens that s not too expensive for my Nikon D3200, but I honestly don't really know where to start. I d prefer a macro on it as well, but that s not a deal breaker. Any suggestions?
What sort of focal length(s) do you need and what's your idea of "not too expensive"?
That's why Nikon make the 55-200mm AF-S.
Be careful about going third-party, since some of their lenses won't allow autofocus
Don't squander money on cheapo 70-300mm s. They are soft at the telephoto end.
There's your Nikon 55-200mm lens that's not so expensive, but you can also consider similar products from Tamron like its 70-300, or its Sigma counterpart which is a tiny bit more expensive but is built better.
Do note at this kind of product and price range, your best bet is the Nikon, as Tamron's budget zooms suffer from failing image stabiliztion, and Sigma's grips and rubber accents tend to wear out much quicker, and their switches last about 5 years with heavy use.
