I'm new at photography and I'm thinking about making Photography my future career! I'm not very old so I thought if I started photography now, I would be a good photographer.
I'm thinking about getting the Nikon D3100 because it's not over $1000 and it has AF servo. I love taking pictures outside and of weather. Please help! There are too many choices of cameras for me to decide!

The D3100 does not have an AF motor, only the D90 and above models have that feature. You can still use pretty much of Nikon's legendary lenses, just without autofocus.

the D3100 is a great entry level camera that should keep you happy. The other nikon choice, if you budget allows, is the D5100, which has a better sensor, better video, and overall just upgraded from the D3100.

if you want to go the canon route, the T1i and T2i are pretty good as well

and is a fantastic camera to pick up and just start to learn how to shoot. It comes packed with on screen manual that will teach out difference in modes as your shooting making it a great camera to pick up. However as the Dr.above did say (and yes got right) is don't be afraid of canon the eos series have all be fantastic and if you don't care to much about video recording even the t3 (not t3i) is a great little camera that you can pick up and just start using.
