Trying to view photos on computer right after taking them, with usb?
I have my camera (nikon d5000) hooked up to my laptop with a usb cable.i'm trying to figure out if there's a ways, first of all, if i can remote view on the laptop, or if i can take a picture and see it on the computer immediately?
Canon's come with that software, with Nikon you have to get the program elsewhere. I understand Lightroom has that capability. We use this in the studio: http://www.breezesys.com/DSLRRemotePro/features.htm
It's called "tethering".
Perki's answer was spot on. I don't think the feature will work with Lightroom without additional tethering software or and eyefi card which will transmit images straight from your camera to the computer using Wi-Fi.
